Your login
Your panel account uses your email address, a password and two-step verification. Two-step verification is required for every account. It uses an authenticator app that shows a short-lived code each time you sign in. Use a password you do not use anywhere else, and keep any recovery codes the panel shows you somewhere safe. If you lose access to your authenticator app, email [email protected].
Share access with sub-users
Do not share your own login. Open the Users tab and invite each friend as a sub-user. You choose which permissions each person gets, so a helper can have the console and the file manager without having everything else. Look through the list from time to time and remove anyone who no longer needs access.
See what happened
The Activity tab is an audit log for your server. If something changes and you do not know why, check it first, then check the Users tab to see who has access.
Files and SFTP
SFTP uses your panel password, so treat the SFTP details like your panel login. Do not hand them out: invite a sub-user instead. Only upload mods, plugins and files from sources you trust, because your server runs whatever you put on it.
Settings inside the game
Many games have their own access settings on the Startup tab. Minecraft has a whitelist switch and an online mode setting. Leave online mode on: turning it off lets anyone join under any name. DayZ and ARK have a server password and an admin password, so set strong ones. Your server is also on a DDoS-protected network on our cloud nodes, and our status page shows uptime monitoring.
Quick answers
Is two-step verification optional?
No. It is required for every account on the panel.
Can my friends use my login?
Please do not. Invite them as sub-users on the Users tab, so each person has their own login and only the permissions you choose.
What should I do if I lose my authenticator app?
Email [email protected] as soon as you can and tell us the email address on your panel account.
