Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Playdubious, a sole proprietorship based in Wisconsin ("we") collects when you use our website, control panel and game servers (the "Service"), how we use it, and your choices. We keep it short because we collect little.
What we collect
- Account information: your name or username, email address, password (stored only as a salted hash) and two-step verification settings.
- Billing information: payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers never touch our servers; we receive limited details from Stripe such as your name, billing email, the card brand and last four digits, payment status and your billing country or postal code.
- Server and technical data: the files, worlds and settings on your server; game and panel logs, which include IP addresses and player names that connect to your server; and security logs (sign-ins, failed logins, firewall events) that include IP addresses.
- Support messages: what you send to [email protected].
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Game players who connect to a server appear in that server's logs as part of how the game works.
How we use it
- To provide, secure and support the Service (running your server, backups, monitoring, preventing abuse and attacks).
- To bill you and handle payment problems.
- To contact you about your account, service changes, security issues and planned maintenance.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run the Service, under their own privacy and security commitments:
- Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (DNS, website delivery and attack protection), Microsoft 365 (support email) and Resend (account and notification emails).
- Backup storage providers, if we use off-site backups.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Playdubious, our users or others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business (in which case this policy continues to apply).
How long we keep it
Account information is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable time after. Server files are deleted after cancellation as described in our Terms (at least 14 days after cancellation or suspension). Logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Cookies
The website uses no tracking or advertising cookies. The control panel uses the cookies needed to keep you signed in and protect forms. Cloudflare may set security cookies to block attacks.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), require two-step verification on panel accounts, keep payment data with Stripe, limit who can access systems, and monitor for attacks. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can view and update your account details in the panel, and you can ask us to send you a copy of your personal information or to delete your account by emailing [email protected]. Some information may need to be kept for legal or accounting reasons. If you live in a place that gives you additional privacy rights, contact us and we will honor them as required.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new effective date; material changes will be emailed to account holders.
