Acceptable Use Policy
Effective October 6, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone using a Playdubious server or account, including the players you let onto your server. It is part of our Terms of Service. If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask us first at [email protected].
Not allowed
- Anything illegal, including content that infringes copyright or trademarks, or that you do not have the right to distribute.
- Child sexual abuse material or any content that sexualizes minors. We report it to the authorities.
- Attacking, scanning or disrupting other systems: DDoS, port scanning, brute-forcing, exploit testing against others, botnets, proxies or VPN exits for abuse.
- Cryptocurrency mining, password cracking, or any workload unrelated to running your game server.
- Spam, phishing, malware hosting or distribution.
- Harassment, threats, doxxing, or hate speech directed at people or groups.
- Reselling, sub-leasing or sharing your server as a hosting service without our written permission.
- Trying to get around resource limits, access other customers' servers or data, or tamper with the panel, the host or our network.
- Breaking a game's own license or commercial rules (for example, selling gameplay advantages on Minecraft servers contrary to the Minecraft EULA and Usage Guidelines).
Mods, plugins and uploads
You are responsible for the mods, plugins, maps and files you install. Only use content you are allowed to use, keep it updated, and remove anything that turns out to be malicious. We may disable a mod or plugin that is causing security problems or harming other servers.
Fair use of resources
Your server's resources are limited by its plan. Sustained use that harms other customers on the same hardware (for example, constant maximum disk writes or network floods) may be throttled, and we will contact you to fix it.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on a Playdubious server infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with your contact details, a description of the work, where the content is (server name or address), a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, a statement that the information is accurate, and your physical or electronic signature. We will review it and act promptly, which may include removing the content.
Enforcement
Depending on how serious a violation is, we may warn you, remove content, suspend the server or terminate the account, without a refund for serious or repeated violations. We may cooperate with law enforcement where the law requires it.
